Jenni & Dakshan got married in a small ceremony at home, with their closest family and friends, in Scarborough, Toronto. She looked absolutely fabulous in her kanchipuram silk sari, and he was at his best dapper self. We did their post-wedding photosession at a nearby park, with beautiful, sinking dusk light providing gorgeous skin tones (although she would look amazing in any kind of light). We met Kiran back in winter of 2013 and we hit it off right away and we knew we were a great fit for each other. She knew exactly what she wanted, she was on point with her vision, and we collaborated to bring her vision to life! We wanted to make sure the location we picked for the photos also complimented Kiran and Gurvir’s personal style. Its been incredible working with them. Over the last year and a half, we’ve been able to document their love, their relationship, their families and the bond that ties all this together. This past week, I felt like I was photographing two great friends and I couldn’t be happier for these two! They deserve every ounce of happiness. Their wedding was held at the Gurdwara Dasmesh Darbar in Brampton, and we photographed them later with the bridal party at McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg. Toronto Sikh Wedding Photography
You can also see the Next Day Edit slideshow we put together for them here, which was played during their reception.
We just got home from photographing Kiran and Gurvir’s roof-raising reception, and we figured we would share with you what we shared with the couple and their 900+ guests (yep, it was a fantastic reception!). Here is their next day edit slideshow in its entirety, a collection of photos from all the events leading upto their big, beautiful Toronto sikh wedding. Their journey begins with their romantic engagement sessions, captured in Halton Falls and downtown Toronto, leading into their pre-wedding ceremonies as their wedding week kicked off, with an assortment of jaago, maiyan and chuda ceremonies. We ended the wedding day in the gorgeous, serene gardens of McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinberg, with the bride and groom enjoying a quiet, peaceful moment with each other.
Karishma and Denver capped off their beautiful east-end wedding day with a roof-raising reception at Scarborough Convention Centre. Scarborough Convention Centre Wedding Reception
We absolutely loved capturing these two dancing up a storm with their friends and family, and loved the candid moments of craziness!
Karishma and Denver tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at the St. Francis De Sales church in Ajax, following it up with photos in the serene, historic Parkwood Estate in Oshawa, and ended the night with a bangin’ reception at Scarborough Convention Centre, to cap off a truly fantastic east end Toronto wedding.
