As you can probably tell from our colour palette, we absolutely love blushes and pastels, the soft colours that embody elegance and timelessness. Which is why you’ll love Nikita & Gaurav’s gorgeous, outdoor Ascott Parc wedding.

Is there anything cuter and heart-melting than a first-look on a wedding day? A lot of couples are unable to fit a first-look on their wedding day due to time constraints prior to the ceremony, or tradition. However, we’ve seen first-looks become more and more common as the years have gone by, with a lot of couples choosing to forego tradition and making time for the first-look on the morning of their wedding day. The best way to get stellar, tear-inducing first-look photos is to work with your photographer before hand, discuss the itinerary leading upto the ceremony, so that you can both work together, with the wedding planner, to make time and space for it. It’s worth it 🙂
Canada doesn’t allow much time for us all to enjoy the outdoors, so if you’re getting married in the summer, why not take advantage of the beautiful, warm weather by incorporating it in your wedding day? We absolutely love photographing outdoor ceremonies, especially South Asian ones as the colours just pop, and the light is always stunning. One piece of advice we always give our brides & grooms if they’re planning to have an outdoor ceremony is to get in touch with halls, like Ascott Parc, well in advance: even a year or more, so that you can book your outdoor ceremony spot. They get booked up really quickly, as you can imagine. Another thing to keep in mind is to always ask the venue for a backup plan, in case it rains! It is Canada, after all.
After their lovely Hindu outdoor ceremony, Nikita & Gaurav changed into their reception outfits, and we did a really cool photo session in a nearby greenhouse with them. Then it was time to head to the reception and let the party begin!
