Ruby’s Mehendi event in Toronto was a small, intimate and laidback affair. We absolutely loved the pink backdrop with the lighted line from the famous song, which was such a cute idea.

Adorned in an outfit from one of our favourite designers, Anita Dongre, Ruby looked radiant, and we loved the candid moments we got to capture with her friends and family.

Her beautiful mehendi (henna) was done by the awesome @sonias_henna_art, a local Toronto henna artist.

This afternoon event reminded us of those lazy summer days spent with loved ones, when time seemed to slow down, and you could let your mind and conversations wander. Of the smell and familiar creases of well-worn books, the cool softness of marigold flowers, and icy mint juleps. A pre-wedding event does not have to be rushed, nore does it need a packed itinerary. You can leave the spreadsheets for the wedding & reception, and truly enjoy these small pre-wedding events to spend precious time with friends and family.
