A Liberty Grand Indian wedding: one of our favourite venues in Toronto.
One of our favourite wedding venues in Toronto is Liberty Grand. Rashmi and Rahul had an amazing Liberty Grand Indian wedding, amidst its leafy courtyard, intricately medieval-inspired architecture, and lavish rooms.
Bride Prep: Rashmi
There are many components that go into photographing Bride Prep in the morning. And one thing we love to do is to incorporate her family members in helping her get dressed.
How bejeweled red and gold wedding outfit was just gorgeous. The bottom half of her lengha was reminiscent of golden champagne bubbles, and the overall traditional red & gold, in its simplicity, matched the blouse and bangles perfectly. Even her mehendi was simple and light, with floral and leafy patterns that extended up.

Groom Prep: Rahul
Rahul’s outfit for their Liberty Grand Indian wedding was similarly traditional yet modern, with a long white sherwani and a red churidar bottom. Elegantly formal, with intricate golden patterns.
To bookend the outfit, he adorned dark red traditional footwear, with black undertones to complete his minimalist yet royal look.
Bridal Portraits
Rashmi’s wedding bouquet was a beautiful contrast to her overall look. It was a rounded bouquet with mostly white roses and a few pink and lilac ones. Underneath the florals were mint green eucalyptus leaves. Later, you will see the same shades & colors used for the ceremony decor of their Hindu wedding at Liberty Grand in Toronto.
Both the bride and groom got ready at the Novotel Hotel, in the Esplanade area of Toronto. The architecture at the Novotel Hotel really lends itself to frame beautiful portraits like the one below, we love photographing here.
The Bridal Party
Let’s talk about the picturesque middle-age-inspired architecture of the Novotel Hotel. The exterior hallway is where we brought Rashmi and her bridesmaids for a shoot, along the building’s pillars and ceiling lamps. Similarly, we brought Rahul and his groomsmen to the hallway for their own groomsmen session.
The Ceremony at the Courtyard
Rahul and Rashmi’s ceremony took place inside Liberty Grand’s outdoor courtyard, surrounded by leafy greens and bathed in gorgeous sunshine. With tall trees enclosing the area and adorning the classic architecture, fresh florals lined the aisle.
An front of the courtyard was a chic wedding mandap framed by white, pink, and lilac flowers and eucalyptus leaves. Their Hindu wedding at Liberty Grand in Toronto was complete with all the traditional Indian ceremonies. We love capturing candid moments, and a wedding ceremony always provides so many. There were smiles and laughter from the couple and their guests throughout, with the whole celebration infused with both meaning and joy.
Post-Ceremony Photo Shoot
One of the best parts of a Liberty Grand Indian wedding? The post-ceremony photo session. The bridal party relaxed amidst the stone and leafy greens. We also took Rashmi and Rahul back of the venue, where the majestic architecture framed them in the manner of classic portraiture.
