Every once in a while, find a cozy location surrounded by nature and fresh air where you can have a great time with your loved one. Spend a fine afternoon enjoying a glass of wine, and chat about nothing in particular. That’s what Rahul and Rashmi did for their Niagara vineyard engagement shoot before their wedding.
They wanted to take a break from all the busy-ness of wedding planning, so off they went to a space of sprawling tranquility that is Southbrook Farms. That’s where they had a Niagara vineyard engagement shoot in a unique venue sitting at the heart of Niagara. This vineyard and winery offers not just varieties of wine but a unique ambiance where wine-lovers can relax.
Southbrook Farms is an estate consisting of vineyards, a winery, and a restaurant. Its exterior seems to be cut directly out of a sci-fi graphic novel: clean lines, reflective pools of water, and a chiaroscuro of light and reflections. It’s probably the most modern winery in the Niagara region, in terms of architecture.
For the first set of their Niagara winery engagement photos, we picked an airy indoor space basked in natural light. It has a minimalist wine-themed interior which set the mood of Rahul and Rashmi’s engagement shoot on a light tone. What better way to start a Niagara vineyard engagement shoot than with a toast and sip of Southbrook’s local produce?
After the first set, we went outside to appreciate the vineyard views of Southbrook Farms better. This was also the time when we started to take advantage of the beautiful weather for Rahul and Rashmi’s Niagara winery engagement photos.

A rustic nature spot outdoors
For photographers like us, it’s very important to scout the whole venue for magical spots that turn every photo into something amazing.
The grassy outdoors skirting this old barn is that magical spot that we found here in Southbrook. The crawling greenery on the barn’s exteriors was an amazing backdrop for their engagement photos. You will notice how we used this space quite generously for Rahul and Rashmi’s Niagara winery engagement photos.
