Sarah bonded with us over our mutual love of Jane Austen. When she told us that for her Scotsdale Farm Engagement Shoot, she wanted to do a modern take on the classic sunrise scene where Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth meet atop the hill from the Pride & Prejudice film (2005, starring Keira Knightley), to say that we were excited would be an understatement.
We had detailed calls and texts about the styling, location of the shoot, and the time of day. We suggested doing a sunrise shoot at Scotsdale Farm, and the result is one of the best sessions we’ve had the pleasure to create.
Every portrait & engagement shoot is a collaboration between the subject and the photographer. And this process of bringing a vision to life, taking steps from conceptualization to execution, is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.
